The Labyrinth
The Labyrinth is one of the key features for a lot of visitors to Mahara.  Many years in it’s creation it is now maturing into a fabulous seven circle Cretan Labyrinth. These are a very old type of labyrinth and  have not only been an important part of many cultures spiritually for thousands of years but are also said to enhance the right side of the brain (creativity) and encourage contemplation and thoughtfulness. A labyrinth is only one path. The way in is the way out. It was planted in September 2007 with 558 Buxus plants all hand raised by Heather from cuttings, then carefully nutured, trimmed, raked, weeded, de-rabbited........... until it grew to be the attraction it is today.
