Stone Circle
Stone Circles in one form or another have been with humanity seemingly forever and here at Mahara we have a circle of uniqueness well suited to a bit of quiet contemplation and maybe wonderment. There are many reasons one can ascribe to the building of stone circles ranging from a simple boundary, forum, place of power, astronomical observatory, but ultimately it is all guesswork and speculation. Set under the trees with it’s fire pit in the centre the Mahara Stone Circle supplies yet another aspect to the wonder of your experience and often a fine focal point to watch the days and seasons go by.
Just down from the Stone Circle there is the Willow Dome with it’s canopy of interwoven growing willow and star burst mosaics, a restful place to sit on a hot summers day.
